U.S. Tax Decision May Increase Prices of Boeing Aircraft
• The new additional tariffs imposed by the U.S. administration, primarily targeting the European Union and China, have begun to affect the aviation sector. Experts believe this development could lead to price increases for some Boeing aircraft models.
• Under the new tax regulations, certain high-tech components and parts used in aircraft manufacturing may also be subject to additional tariffs. Since many of these parts—particularly those used in the Boeing 737 MAX, 787 Dreamliner, and 777X models—are sourced from suppliers outside the U.S., rising costs are expected to be reflected in final prices.
• As a result, Boeing’s list prices may also see increases. This situation is likely to put pressure on the production chain and order processes, prompting international airlines, in particular, to reassess their cost planning strategies.
